Any time I'm in the area, I make a point of going to Grog's. If you are searching for amazing pizza near Lake Huron, look no further. They have an amazing outdoor set-up & have live music on the weekend. It is certainly worth adding as a destination if out for a drive or adventure.
Visit party of 4 for beverages and light snacks on Sunday June 23, 2024. Ample parking, mobility impaired accessible. Wonderful patio area outside and comfortable seating indoors. Great beverage and food menu. Pizza appears to be a favourite item. Staff were friendly and professional. Food ordered was excellent. Moderately priced.
We had an amazing experience at Grog’s! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm and friendly service. Our server, Damion, was exceptional—attentive, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed. The highlight of our meal was the Great Canadian pizza—it was absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked with generous toppings, it had that ideal balance of flavors that made every bite enjoyable. Overall, a great dining experience. Good food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!
Many thanks to Grog's for our wonderful lunch yesterday. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. The food was great-best turkey noodle soup ever! The hospitality we received made our day-management and staff quickly came to our aid when our antique car decided to be temperamental. Thank you to all, we shall be back!
Stopped for lunch today at Grogs. Got there early about 11:45. Wasn’t busy when we got there but soon restaurant was hopping. And I can understand why! Tina our amazing wait staff was there within minutes of being seated. She told us about their daily specials which included a pickerel dinner with fresh green beans and fries/potato. Tina was so friendly and brought our order out quickly. Helped us decide from their homemade dessert options to which we both decided on a slice of pecan pie with vanilla ice cream. Wanted to make one comment although our dinner was delicious we kept seeing these mouth watering pizzas being delivered to other tables and decided next trip we would definitely be ordering that to eat for sure. There is a small shop for take out and a few shirts next door and I stopped in there to buy a frozen peanut butter chocolate pie to go. Can’t wait to try a slice later! Definitely a great place to stop in your way to Grand bend. If you do stop be sure to tell Tina, we say hello.
Weve driven by this restaurant several times thinking it’s too busy maybe next time. Today we said this is the day!! Best decision we’ve ever made!!! Very busy, but we were seated in less then 10 mins. Our waitress was so nice and prompt with service. We ordered two medium pizzas and 20 wings. Best and I mean BEST pizza we’ve ever had and the wings were so delicious. Even though it’s just over 2 hours from my home, we will drive it any time any day !! Thanks to our server Kalissa for making our first Grogs experience an amazing one !! See you all again soon
Had the Mushroom Swiss Burger and my wife a Taco salad. The burger tasted fantastic but for the price it could have been bigger and come on a bigger plate with another handful of fries. The burger plate was much smaller than the Taco Salad plate. The taco salad however was large and delicious. Gary @rvlivinglife
We love this place! A must for when we are in the area. Our favourite has been the French onion soup!! Please do not change this. We have been stopping in at least once a year for 6 years now. Atmosphere is pub restaurant style. Service is always top-notch. Pizza was very good also! Something for everyone on the menu. Huge patio to sit outside if that's your vibe. Very busy but still didn't have to wait long to be seated. They give you a "pager" when the table is ready.
